It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Hello!  I've been MIA lately.
My mom had emergency open heart surgery a month ago, and just before that, we went through hurricane Irma, so I've been quite distracted.

I had the opportunity to spend some crafting time with a dear friend and it jump started my desire to get Christmas crafts going.

These are made with stickers from Paper Wishes. I'm lucky to have a lady who has a little booth at our farmer's market who sells them.

I colored this guy with my gel pens.

This card is so pretty, I love that the stickers come in different color to create cool designs easily.

12 months of Christmas

Challenge #35

Optional Theme: Star Struck

This month I decided to make an ornament using an svg file I've had for a while along with the gorgeous papers.

The challenge theme this week is "A touch of gold"

Christmas Ball with Ribbon Digital Stamp

I cut 6 of the ornaments out and folded each one in half then glued them all together like a book.
I added the ribbon and bells to the center before I glued the final 2 pieces together.

Stop and smell the pumpkins

Pumpkins Digital Stamp

Smell the Pumpkins Digital Stamp

This week's theme is Halloween.
These guys are among my favorites, they are so cheerful and look like they are having the best time!
I colored them with sharpies and then lightly sprayed the image with rubbing alcohol to lighten the colors.  I learned this technique by accident a while back, my original plan was to use the alcohol as a blender of sorts and it ruined my image.  So now I know what it does and I use it to sort of distress the coloring.  I like how it came out, makes the pumpkins look more rough, not so smooth.
I put the phrase inside, makes me laugh since everything is pumpkin spice right now...even Cheerios!! UGH!

This is my first treat bag I've made.  There was a contest in one of the groups I'm in and I actually managed to get it done first!  It's the same on both sides, my daughter said she will use it next year...nice right?  Her blue pumpkin that lights up is more exciting I guess.

Anything Goes with QKR stampede

Hunting Turkey Digital Stamp

Howdy stampers! Today is a new challenge at QKR stampede.  This week the theme is Anything Goes!
I chose to use this fun turkey, he cracks me up.  Little pilgrim dude goin' to get his dinner!
I colored him with my pencils and blended with gamsol and let my cameo cut him out for me.
I used a couple of  my MFT dies to create the ground for him to walk on.
The "sun" is a fun fabric embellishment I've had for ages.

I glued his feet to the paper and used foam tape on the rest of his body for some dimension.

12 months of Christmas link up

Blog Badge

We are half way through the month of October already!!
Do you realize what that means? Christmas is literally right around the corner!!
I hope you have been joining us each month in our challenges so you have some cards ready to go.
This month the theme is anything goes and Pattie's Creations is our sponsor.

I used the adorable Polar bear snow globe.
I layered all the pieces together and printed them as one and glued on sequins to simulate a shaker card.
In my opinion a Christmas card isn't complete unless it has glitter on it, so I added some for him to sit in.

I have several projects to share with you today.  Chills and Thrills aren't my strong suit, so my attempt at a witchy fairy house came out pretty sweet.
This is one of the Fairyville houses, specifically the Dragonfly Fairy house.

I made the little broom using a file from the SIL store.
It can be used as a gift box or a luminary. I put a color changing light inside and look how cute it looks glowing.

I made all 3 of the houses in this bundle, if you'd like to see them glowing, check out my video here.

My next 3 projects are a little more chill enducing I think.
These are files from the SIL store.
This is supposed to be a box, but I welded 2 jars together and made a shaped card.
I used a red marker to make some veins.

I was going for a cameo look with this card. I think she's pretty cool.
I added her man to this card below, who doesn't love a spooky love story.
Honestly what love story isn't' scary! lol

Now hop on over Rebecca
