Happy birthday to me!!

This is the progressive challenge image for this month over at Simply Betty's fb fan page.
I love this.
Again, my coloring leaves a lot to be desired, but she's still pretty.

We won't talk about how old I am, I'm not feeling it, doesn't seem possible!

Simply Betty

I've got 2 cards to share with you today.
I thought I'd share them in one post since they are very similar.

Betty is such a talented artist. I just love her images. I feel my coloring doesn't do them justice.

This first one was a draw along type contest. She asked for prompts from us and she would draw, and those of us who played along were gifted the finished product.
I'm happy with her, she reminds me of what Emily could look like as a teenager.

For the easel, I put foam tape across the top then glued the bottom, I fell when using thin paper this is a more sturdy easel.

The second card is an easel shaker!
This was a free image as well, she's so generous!
This shell paper is my favorite and I picked another paper that looks like water for the backing of the shaker.

Inside I filled with with sequin stars, tiny red flowers for a pop of color and some shiney glitter and some tiny beads in dark blue and silver.
It's so shiney and makes a great sound.

Shiver me timbers

treasure chest
shiver me timbers
you're a treasure

I used my SIL program to create this scene.  I used some cutting files and turned them into digital images and added the awesome Eureka images.
I colored them with my sharpies.

Christmas in July!

Design Team
For today's card I am using a physical stamp! lol, I seriously need to ink my stamps more!
They were my first love and I've neglected them for digital images.
This cutie is simply called Reindeer.
I stamped him on kraft brown paper and used pencils to color his antlers and inner ears.
I used my gel pens for his eyes and nose so they have some shine.
I stamped him a second time and cut just his hands and feet, honestly, I did this twice, I colored his hooves black but decided I liked the simpler look for him.
I then cut the bunny from some of the paper I used for the background quilt so he's got a gift to give.
After I cut 2 inch blocks from 3 different papers, I pieced them onto a piece of card front then ran it through my big shot with this cute embossing folder.
 What do you think? Sweet?

Be sure to head to the shop and check out all the new stuff!

Our challenge this month is Christmas in July, so be sure to link up!

Bugaboo is our sponsor this month, the images are all so cute, be sure to check them out if you haven't already.

I got to use the bugrblocks image
Digi Singles - Digi Stamps
I used 3 of the papers for my background that Lisa designed along with some other patterns in my sil library.
I am out of printer ink so this is a digital project. I can't wait to be able to print it and make physical cards with it.  I will be making quite a few of this one. I love how it turned out.

Click the badges to go to the blog site and link up, to the store to shop and if you want this specific image click on the water marked image.

I'm adding his to the Christmas in July challenge at Hiding in my craftroom

Just Beachy!

I am using the Beach girl digi for my card.
I created a shaker card so it looks like she is in the water.

She turned out pretty cute I think. I used some colored sand and white pearly sequins for the filler.

Cowboy Christmas

This week's theme is anything goes, so I went with Christmas

I really had fun with this one.  I created my scene using my sil program and patterns from my library.
I colored the images with my sharpies and added glitter with crystal effects as the adhesive.

A very happy birthday

No automatic alt text available.

Hey there, this is my post for
Connie Can Crop

Our sponsor is Bugaboo, I chose this adorable image, I love that it came with a pre-colored digi as well.
I used that one for my card.  I made a large card, it fits in a legal size envelope.
I added the phrase using fonts and my sil program and let my cameo write it.  I then filled it in with gel pens.

 sweet and simple

Our challenge this month is
I hope you'll play along, and don't forget about our blog hop on Saturday!
Hurray for the red white and blue!

A fairy good day

This was the image for the progressive challenge in June.
I was a few days late getting her done, but I wanted to post her anyway.
I created the scene using my files in the SIL library.
I really love doing that, and using the patterns to create a fun whimsical scene.
I added some shimmer mist after because, well, it's like glitter, makes everything better.

Wishing you a safe 4th of July!

Owl be home for Christmas

Design Team

Be sure to check out the shop, Lisa is adding lots of new items very soon!

Today I'm using the cute Owl be home for christmas image.

I kept the card simple to keep the postage down to one stamp.
I learned last year to hold off on the bling when sending out Christmas cards.

I used my SIL library of patterns to fill him in. I love "coloring" like this, it's so neat to have the look of paper piecing with out the cutting.
